WCC-E Championships Track Preview

Holy Family is entering the WCC-E Championships at New Prague today. The hope in this meet is for Holy Family to cement some runners into the State Final. Holy Family will be showcasing their girls 4×200 meter relay team at this upcoming meet. Expectations are high as they competed in the state meet last year. Also, on the boy’s side, a 4×200 meter relay team will hit the track. After falling short last year, the boys relay hope to punch their ticket to state. In the long-distance side of track there are many 800-meter runners for Holy Family that will compete heavily at the meet. Danny Maschall, Zyler Niece, Megan Beulke, and Calista Lorenz all hope to place high in the 800-meter dash.  When asked what his hopes were for this upcoming meet senior Danny Marschall responded,” I hope to PR at this meet. I hope it is a breakthrough meet for me and the whole team as we prepare for a state run”.

In the field, William Beck and Jensen Skelton hope to place high in the shot put, coming off a good meet last week.  Also, sophomores Seth Thompson and Carson Liebeg hope to place well.  In the long jump, Dominic Phillips, Evelyn Willenbring and Camilla Rosenberg will be vying for spots at state. The team has a promising chance at state this year and hope to build off today’s meet.
