A hot Fire team looks for third win against Delano
Coming off a tough home loss to Litchfield, the Fire football team knew they would have to improve some things before heading to Watertown to take on the Royals. On Friday’s game against the Royals, the team came out swinging, with the first quarter ending with the Fire ahead 21-0. They held it down on both sides of the ball consistently driving down field, and the defense stonewalling Watertown. At the half, the Fire went into the locker room with a comfortable 41-0 lead. They stayed strong in the second half and came out of the game with a commanding 48-0 win.
The Fire have their second home game this Friday, September 21 against a tough 2-1 Delano Tigers. The past two years Holy Family football has gone 0-2 to the Tigers and are hoping to turn that around this year. Come out to support your Holy Family Fire boys of fall!
