The Haunting of Hill House is a new Netflix Original Show from writer and director Mike Flanagan which is about a fractured family forced to confront haunting memories of their old home and the terrifying events that drove them from it.

I saw this show on my recommended on Netflix and I didn’t think I would watch but after looking up some reviews for it I thought I would give it a try, and it was one of the best decisions I have made. This show is the pinnacle of television. It gives great performances from the adult and children characters and you really end up caring for what happens to them. Also, the show had some very effective scares, with only a few jump scares. But the major reason that this show is good is because of the deeper themes of the show about addiction, depression, and the effects of losing a loved one can do to a family.
