Fire football looks for first state appearance in 6 years

The ‘boys of fall’ are headed to the section final for the first time since 2014, and will be facing off against the reigning section champs, Jordan. The Fire look to make it to state for the first time since 2012, where they came up short in the state championship game.

They finished 5-3 in the regular season and have won their last two playoff games outscoring their opponentsĀ  Fire football has gone 0-2 the last two years in the post season, with losing both first round games the last two years to Belle Plaine High school. They hope to continue this winning streak when they play Jordan this Friday.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding this class after going 10-0 their freshman year. They have been steadily growing as a class and have been increasing their varsity records each year.

Come out and support the Fire football team in the section championship this Friday (11/2) at Rockford High School at 7!
