The Upside is a film about a man who is paralyzed named Philip. He finds himself needing someone to take care of him so he is able to live out his life in a meaningful way. Philip is fairly wealthy, and lives in a penthouse in New York. Dell, a parolee who is attempting to reconnect with his family, is eventually hired by Philip. Despite coming from two different worlds, an unlikely friendship starts to blossom as Dell and Phillip rediscover the joy of living life to the fullest.I thought the movie was very meaningful, and symbolic of how we should live our lives.
