Hip-Hop in 2019

With Hip-Hop slowly becoming the most popular and lucrative genre in the music business there is no denying that 2018 was a huge year for Hip-Hop. For fans of the genre, 2019 has high hopes and from what is expected to drop this year, it will not disappoint.

With a big year in music here are my most highly anticipated albums and artists expecting to drop an album this year. (Since Juice WRLD, Future, 2 Chainz, etc. dropped albums before this was written they will not be included)

Rich the Kid- The World is Yours 2

Rich the Kid is expected to drop his highly anticipated sequel to The World is Yours on March 22nd. The album has features from Nav, Gunna, Juice WRLD, Offset, Takeoff, and more.

Khalid- Free Spirit 

Khalid is finally dropping his project on April 5th after dropping multiple singles leading up the album.

Anderson .Paak- Ventura

After he released the amazing Oxnard fans expect big things from the rapper. With studio sessions with Dr. Dre this album expected on April 12th will not disappoint.

Chance the Rapper

The Chicago rapper had a bug summer after dropping some very solid singles leaving fans expecting an album soon. His new album is expected to drop sometime in July.

Joyner Lucas- ADHD

Lucas dropped his popular single “I Love” in 2018 but unfortunately his album was moved to 2019 for an unknown reason. The release date of the album is unknown.

Migos- Culture III

The third chapter of the Migos was hoping to drop early 2019 but with no date of the expected release it leaves fans wondering.

Kanye West- Yandhi

West had a big year in 2018 with producing songs for huge names in Hip-Hop and coming out with his own solid full length album ye. There is no known release date.

Schoolboy Q- untitled

It’s been awhile since a Q album and people and understandably exited. There is no known release date.
