Tiger Woods Wins the 2019 Masters

After battling a back injury for many years, Tiger Woods has recently been working his way back up the leaderboards in the PGA tournaments. Tiger won his first major tournament since 2008 by winning the 2019 masters. With this win, he moves up past Arnold Palmer as the second all-time for wins in the Master’s championship. Tiger, being 43 years old, came out on top of a chaotic last nine holes in the championship that was filled with many ties and lead changes between some of the best golfers in the game. Tiger finished with a total score of -13 on the weekend beating out Xander Schauffele, Dustin Johnson, and Brooks Koepka who had -12 each. Tiger won his first major tournament at the age of 21 and now with his 15th major tournament win and 5th Masters, Tiger was very emotional after hitting his last putt. With this win, I think it is clear that Tiger is back on top as one of the best golfers in the world despite having to battle through what seemed like a career-ending back injury.
