Fire Baseball Gets Win against Blake, Improves to 8-3 On Season
The Holy Family Fire played the Blake Bears Friday night. The Fire were playing for the 2nd night in a row and playing their 5th game in 5 nights. They went 3-1 in the previous 4 games, beating Watertown-Mayer Monday and Orono Thursday, and splitting games with Delano on a double header Tuesday.
The Fire had a dominant performance led by Captain Jacob Konz. Konz went 3-4 at the plate with 3 RBI’s and 3 runs scored. Captain Patrick Barrett, Sophmore Spencer Lewin, and Juniors Caden Pottebaum and Jack Buchholz all contributed two hits as well.
Sophmore Grant Limke had his first varsity start for the Fire. Limke pitched a complete game with 7 strikeouts and only two runs allowed.
The Fire won this game 12-2 as they continued their hot play for the week.
Holy Family will have their Senior Day next Friday, May 18th against Trinity at 1:30 PM. Come support all the seniors and the baseball team as they continue their season.
