Nostalgic Christmas Songs We All Love
Christmas songs are a huge part of the holidays and we all have our favorites to listen to. Songs can bring up a lot of memories and we can subconsciously connect to certain songs. This playlist will include some of the classic Christmas songs, and some of the family favorites.

“Last Christmas” came out in 1984 and has been widely popularized recently. This song is a classic that everyone loves and can bring a lot of nostalgia.

Andy Williams is known for his heartwarming Christmas songs, and this is one of his most popular ones. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year” came out in 1963, and it has stuck around with families for a multitude of years.
“Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!”- Dean Martin
Dean Martin is the epitome of Christmas songs. His Album A Winter Romance, from 1959, has been a classic for people across the world. That album is one of my personal favorite Christmas albums, and it is a favorite for many others too.
“You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch”- Thurl Ravenscroft
This song is from the extremely popular movie How the Grinch Sloe Christmas! This movie is a family favorite, and the songs make it all the better.
“Do They Know It’s Christmas?”- Band Aid
This song is most prevalent for people from the ’80s, and it sends a great message along with it. The band composes of many popular artists at the time such as Duran Duran, Sting, and Paul Young. This song speaks out about how most people have nothing to give nor receive during Christmas time, therefore Christmas is non-existent to them. Then they took the money raised from the song to donate it to organizations that combat poverty and health issues.
“Blue Christmas”- Elvis Presley
Elvis Presley is known for his Christmas songs and taking classic Christmas songs and making them new. “Blue Christmas” is by far his most popular. His Christmas songs are unique from the others because of his voice and overall tone of the songs, and that is what has made them so popular.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You”- Mariah Carey
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is a song that everyone knows and loves, and it has been a part of a majority of peoples’ Christmases in one way or another.
“Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”- Brenda Lee
This song was written and released in 1958, but never got popular until 1960. The full song was also played in the hit movie, Home AloneĀ and it gave new life to this classic.
“Jingle Bell Rock”- Bobby Helms
“Jingle Bell Rock” is played across millions of homes every year. This song has been a staple to many people’s Christmas playlist. This song was also featured in the widely known movie Mean Girls and has continued to become more popular since.
“Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”- Judy Garland
Judy Garland’s soothing voice gave us a heartwarming and classic Christmas song. This song has been around since 1944 and will continue to be around for years to come.
“Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer”- Gene Autry
“Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is a favorite among almost everyone. It is from the well known Christmas movie, Rudolf, the Red-Nosed Reindeer. The movie and songs have become a family favorite and a heartwarming tradition among millions of families.
