I started reading and watching Harry Potter in middle school, because, before then, my mom thought that I would take the “magic part” too seriously and that it would affect my attentiveness in bible school.

Instead, at the age of thirteen, I fell in love with J.K. Rowling’s writing. In fact, I still enjoy it today. She describes a setting so well that it feels like you are in it yourself. She also wrote strong female characters and relationships that defy stereotypes.

So, as a Harry Potter fan does, I took as many sorting hat quizzes as I could find. I also took the Pottermore quiz by J.K. Rowling herself. If one thing is for sure, it is that I am a Ravenclaw.

However, after receiving some feedback from my friends, I have learned that some peoples’ answers are not cohesive (meaning that they got one house on one quiz and another house on another quiz). So, the Ravenclaw in me set out to find a quiz that can be trusted by everyone.

This is important, because it eliminates two important factors: 1. The Pottermore online quiz is randomized, so your answer could be different every time. 2. It is still credible, because it is a compilation of questions and answers created by J.K. Rowling.

Your house can help you identify your strongest personality traits and core values. Furthermore, it can help you understand your friends and family better. If you’re not interested in improving upon those things, it takes at least 5 minutes to take, so that is 5 minutes less of wondering how you’re going to spend your free time. So, I urge everyone, not just Harry Potter fans to check it out.
