Outer Banks Review

Outer+Banks+Review

Outer Banks is a new Netflix original series that was launch on April 15 and has become the top show being streamed on the platform across the country. The first season has 10 episodes and got a 4.8/5 rating by audiences. There hasn’t been an official announcement for a season two but with the exceptional response it has gotten from audiences, it wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone if more seasons were to come.

It is a action, adventure, mystery following a group of 4 teenagers, named Pope, JJ, John B, and Kie, who live on the Outer Banks of North Carolina who call themselves the “pogues”. The group is determined to find out the truth about the disappearance of John B’s dad, who has been missing for 9 months and is believed to be dead. As they are searching for answers, they discover a treasure that John B’s dad had been searching for the past 20 years. As the “pogues” are part of the poorest part of the island, they must avoid the “kooks”, wealthiest group on the island, and the police in order to discover the truth that has been kept from them for so long.

Though it may have a few cheesy moments, I highly recommend this show to anyone who wants an adventure. It is a high-paced show filled with lots of shocks along the way that will keep you hooked until the very end. It is the perfect balance between teenage romance and action.
