Some Ideas for Spring Break 2021
Despite winter break only recently coming to a close, many Holy Family students are preparing for this upcoming spring break. This year, a lot of people are planning to stay in the state. Even though staying at home for an entire break can get tiresome, Holy Family students have come up with ideas on what to do. Going somewhere to escape Minnesota winter is ideal, whether it be to a sunny vacation spot, which Matt Chromy (’22) finds ideal, or a cabin in the snowy mountains, which Tom Mulheran (’22) prefers. However, Sydney Ames (’22) believes staying home to hang out with close friends and family can be just as good. If hunkering down at home and watching movies is your thing, keep an eye out for the release of No Time to Die, a new James Bond installment, on April 2nd. If you’re a lover of more lighthearted and family-friendly movies, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway also releases on April 2nd. Be sure to watch the sequel, Peter Rabbit, beforehand! There are also places to go if you want to get out of the house. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a great place to visit if you want to see flowers and beautiful landscapes. Due to the pandemic, you need to order a ticket online and ahead of time to tour the property. The grounds are especially gorgeous in the spring! If you want a little different change in scenery, then the Minnesota Zoo is another great option. Check the website to see what events they have planned. If you aren’t interested in activities, there are always animals to learn about! Similar to the Arboretum, tickets are attained by reservation only, and they sell out quickly. If you haven’t already gone to Eden Prairie Center, over break would be a great time to visit. Scheel’s, the new department store addition, is now open. Of course, there are also various shops and restaurants to explore. No matter what you do, it’s difficult to get bored at a mall, and EPC is always a safe bet. No matter what you do over break, be sure to stay safe!
