The Origins of Catholic Schools Week

As a Catholic school, we participate in a universal, week-long event of Catholic Schools Week. This event allows us to understand the purpose, importance, and privilege of receiving a Catholic education. This tradition was started in 1974 by the NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association). This year the theme for Catholic Schools Week is faith, excellence, and service. This year at Holy Family, we took on the tradition of having various dress-up days. The dress-up days included Throwback Day, Country vs. Country Club, Sunday Best, Vacation, and Spirit Wear + Anything But a Backpack. This week was certainly exciting and as a school, we got to grow in our Catholic faith by celebrating Catholic Schools Week.
