The Holy Family Girls’ Volleyball team traveled to Cretin Derham Hall on Wednesday, September 7th. Going into the game, the team knew they would find success. The team had not been able to practice in the Holy Family gym due to the renovations, but the team unanimously decided that wouldn’t stop them from showing up to play. The game started off a little rocky, but after dropping the first set, they came back to win 3-1 sets, 17-25, 25-26, 25-17, and 25-22. Holy Family Fire recorded 50 digs, 9 aces, 7 blocks, and 50 kills. Sophomore outside hitter, Sonja Laaksonsen, led the team with 19 kills. The team’s record is now 1-1 and looking forward to hosting Providence Academy on Tuesday, September 13th.
