My ears have recently been blessed with a new deluxe album from Tyler the Creator called CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST: The Estate Sale. It’s not an entirely new album because it is made up of eight songs that were scrapped from Tyler’s original album CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST that was released in 2021. Tyler’s storytelling skills are showcased yet again on this new album. The name of the album includes “estate sale” because estate sales take place after someone has passed away. By using this phrase, Tyler is showing that he is getting rid of the old persona from his previous album to make a fresh start..

DOGTOOTH and SORRY NOT SORRY are the most popular songs on this album. DOGTOOTH was the first song on this album to be accompanied by a music video. This song was the first to catch my attention. Through the lyrics, the beat, and the flow of this song, I was reminded of many of his previous songs, like potato salad,” with the free flow of his lyrics and beats. I enjoyed the vibe this song gave off, it was very fun and energetic.

The songSORRY NOT SORRY was the second song on this album to be accompanied by a music video. I think this is one of my favorite songs on the album, and it has my favorite music video Tyler has released. In this song, Tyler apologizes for all the wrongs he has done in the past. He talks about the many struggles of fame and leaving the past behind. It is great how this song incorporates aspects of his older albums and personas; Tyler is able to make this song a perfect blend of who he is now. The music video is amazing. It is so refreshing to see this artist capture each of his personas, including their flaws, while still giving them his appreciation, then killing them off to show that he is ready for something new. There is something so raw and powerful about this song, and I love how unique it is.

My favorite song from this album is HEAVEN TO ME.” In this song, Tyler talks about escaping all his struggles and becoming successful. It is inspiring to hear him embrace his growth and how grateful he is for his life, which he sees as his own version of heaven. The first time I listened to this song, I couldn’t help but smile and feel happy. A song  hasn’t made me feel this way in a long time; it’s a mix of nostalgia and happiness that makes me feel great.

Tyler has consistently delivered extraordinary albums throughout his career. He continues to find ways to evolve as an artist. As someone who has been following Tyler since his album Cherry Bomb, I think it is crazy how much his music has  progressed. His albums  keep getting better and better. If you are looking for new music, I would 100% recommend this album. I see this album becoming a summer essential with the amazing vibe it creates. I give CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST: The Estate Sale  5/5 stars and highly recommend others to give this album a listen.
