The end-of-semester rush has ended, finals are in the past, and half of the yearbook has been submitted for review. All you have to do now is wait for approval from Mr. Dols. But after that, what do you do? In the yearbook, there is no such thing as a break. As soon as the new semester starts, it is an immediate jump right back into the grind. Miss Diggins assigns you the task of either designing certain pages, editing names and pictures, adding the final touches to pages, or going around the school to take pictures. You might have to go to a sports game, or interrupt the robotics team to get some much-needed photos to flesh out the club page. No matter what time it is, there is always something that needs to be done. This leads to everyone on the committee forming strong connections with each other, which allows them to work even more efficiently. Joining the yearbook committee allows someone to develop their creative skills and teach them valuable lessons in time management, workflow, and how to work well with others. Starting sophomore year, anyone is able to join the yearbook committee. Ask Miss Diggins [email protected] for information.
