Senior year is a stressful time filled with studying, college decisions, and working to make lasting memories of your highschool years. Students at Holy Family have a strong track record for future success. They flourish in the workforce, in college, or in anything else they choose to pursue after high school, all while working hard to better the world.
In interviews with Holy family seniors, read all about their decisions and thoughts about their near future.
First we interviewed Matilda Abercrombie:
What are you planning on doing next fall?
Matilda: “I will be attending the University of Tampa in Florida next year”
Do you know what you will be majoring in?
Matilda: “I will be majoring in chemistry on the pre-dental track. I am so excited because I have dreamed about being a dentist since I was a little girl.”
What are you most excited for?
Matilda: “I am most excited for the warm weather, living in a big city and I am so excited to meet new people”
Next we interviewed Gabby Kapke:
Where are you planning on going to college?
Gabby: “I will be going to UW-Madison next year.”
Why did you choose Madison?
Gabby: “I chose Madison because it is a big school with lots of opportunities and clubs. I also love the town because there is so much to do.”
What are you majoring in?
Gabby: “I am majoring in International Studies and French.”
What do you think Madison will help you achieve for the future?
Gabby: “Like I said before, Madison is a big school so there are a lot of opportunities for me to be a part of that will aid me for my future. One of these is a study abroad program that I am really excited about! My hope is to study in France and eventually live there after college!”
Next we interviewed Tony Marschall:
Where do you plan on going to college?
Tony: “I am going to Iowa State University next year.”
Why did you decide to go to Iowa state?
Tony: “I liked the college town campus feel, and I also have family and friends in the area”
What are you planning on majoring in?
Tony: “I plan on studying business economics.”
Have you had any Holy family classes prepare you for a future in business?
Tony: “Mr. Richter’s ‘Business and Management’ and ‘Business and Marketing’ classes both have helped me with learning the basics of business and have prepared me for a business major at Iowa State.”
Lastly, we interviewed Zoe Schuele
Where are you planning on going after high school?
Zoe: “I will be attending Multnomah University in Oregon”
How did you decide on going to Multnomah University?
Zoe: I will be playing volleyball there and I felt at home immediately when I met the team and coach. As soon as I met the coach, I loved her and knew that I wanted to go there.
What are you planning on majoring in?
Zoe: “I will be majoring in Psychology.”
Have you toured the Multnomah campus, if so what were the drawing elements of it?
Zoe: “I have toured the campus. I like it because it is far enough outside Portland where I don’t feel like I’m right in the city, but close enough where there is a lot to do. It is also just in a beautiful part, where the beach and mountains are all within an hour of me. The campus is really nice, and I felt like it was the perfect size for me.
