Recycling and its Benefits

Recycling and its Benefits

Do you recycle?

Recycling is extremely important for the welfare of our environment. By doing so we can reduce waste and the amount of non-biodegradable plastic and materials that may would otherwise end up in landfills.

Not only does recycling benefit the environment, but the economy as well. It creates jobs for over 750,000 people. Ultimately, it is to everyone’s benefit that you recycle. However, it’s your choice as to whether you take the few extra steps a day to recycle your plastic cup or water bottle or throw it in the trash.

Recyclable Materials:

  • Paper
  • Glass
  • Metals such as aluminum cans
  • Plastic water bottles and cups
  • Any plastic with the universal Recycling symbol (as seen in the photo below)

Non-Recyclable Materials
