The Fire basketball team started the season off in a huge way winning 9 straight. At about the midway point in the regular season, they sit 9-4 and second in the conference, only one loss behind Delano.

The Fire are led in scoring by Junior Nick Hendler who has an average of about 15 points a game.

The boys expect to finish the season strong and make a run in the post season led behind captains Brenden O’Connor and Jacob Zay. When asked about the recent close losses and how to run around the season Senior captain Jacob Zay responded, “We are going to make sure we keep playing as a team because that’s that started us out strong. We know we can compete with every team we play, so we are working hard to perfect out late game execution.”
